Artist's Comments

Battle Abbey was started in 1067 on the orders of William the Conqueror to commemorate his victory at the battle of Hastings the previous year. The Benedictine abbey was not completed until the reign of William Rufus, and was destroyed by Henry VIII. Some of the buildings still stand and the atmosphere is a very strange one.

The colors are great... it creates a complete new atmosphere at every part of the picture (if that makes sense... English isn't my first language...)

That's part of what made the shot for me - it's a natural colour too there's no photoshop tweaking to add it in.
